All you need is an email address and a Paypal account attached to that email.

3/ Does my Private Payment Portal (PPP) required any download and/or installation on my phone or PC?
Absolutely not. Your PPP is a private webpage that is managed by mepagar.net, there is no need for downloading nor installing any application.

4/ Who can pay or donate me money on my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
Anyone that uses a credit/debit card from Visa / Mastercard / Amex or Paypal - worldwide - can pay or donate money to you on your PPP.

5/ In which currency can I be paid or receive money?
You can be paid with any credit/debit card of any countries and currencies from Visa / Mastercard / Amex, or with a Paypal account.
Nonetheless there will be an exchange rate applied by Paypal in order to match the currencies in your Paypal Account. In the case where the currency of the credit/debit card matches one of the currencies in your Paypal Account, no exchange rate will be applied (which is more advantageous for you). Therefore the more currencies your Paypal account supports, the better.
In order to add more currencies to your Paypal account : a/ Log into your Paypal account b/Access your Wallet c/ Click on "Add a currency" d/ Select the currency you want and click "Add currency".

6/ Why is there multiple currency options on my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
Because when the currency used by the payer (sender) and the receiver (you) matches, the fees are lower and no exchange rate will be applied (which is more advantageous for you).

7/ What is the process of getting my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
After your subscription or purchase, mepagar.net will process your form and your PPP will be aired on the internet within a maximum of 48h (any delay from the moment of payment will be automatically added to your purchased time).
For example : you bought 3 months + 3 days on the 15th of June (15/06) but your PPP is aired only 48h after i.e. on the 17th of June (17/06). Then your PPP will be available until 24th of September (24/09) included.

8/ Can my title and welcome message be blank?
Absolutely yes. You can leave both your title and welcome message blank if you prefer so. See example here.

9/ Can I make change to the information on my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
Absolutely no. Once your PPP is aired by mepagar.net, you will not be able to change any information on your PPP (particularly the email address of your Paypal account).
Nonetheless you can unsubscribe anytime and re-subscribe for a new PPP with the change of information you want.

10/ What is the difference between Payment and Donation on my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
According to Paypal's terms of use, payment is used for the purchase of a good or a service while Donation is for transferring money as a donation.
As a thumb rule : the fee charged by Paypal for Payment is about 2.9% depending on the credit/debit card used and the country (whether there is an exchange rate applied or not), while the fee for Donation ranges from 2% - 2.89%.

11/ How can I receive monthly payment (subscription) on my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
Depending on the country in where you open your Paypal account, you may need to have a Business Paypal account in order to receive recurrent monthly payment on your PPP.
Shall your Paypal account meet all the requirements stipulates by Paypal, then any subscriber can go to your PPP and subscribe in order to make monthly money transfer to you.
Please note that the subscription function is set up automatically by mepagar.net upon subscription or purchase. Whether it can be used or not depends on the country and the type of Paypal account you have (Business or not).

Shall your Paypal account not meet the requirements to receive monthly payment, upon using the subscription function on your PPP, you will receive an error by Paypal : "Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later."

12/ How can I unsubscribe from mepagar.net and close down my Private Payment Portal (PPP)?
In the case where you have subscribed to mepagar.net using a Paypal account : a/ Log into your Paypal account b/ Click the gear icon > "Payment" > "Manage automatic payments" c/ Select mepagar.net d/ Click "Cancel" and confirm.
In the case where you have subscribed to mepagar.net using using a credit/debit card : contact your bank to cease any monthly payment made to mepagar.net.
Once your monthly payment is canceled, your PPP will be taken down automatically within 2 days from the last day of the month of your last payment. Particularly you will not have to notify us.

13/ Can I get refunded?
No. There is no possibility for a refund by mepagar.net once the payment of that month has been processed. However you can unsubscribe any time : no question asked (obviously the following months will not be billed).
The same rule applies for fixed amount of time service purchase : mepagar.net will not be able to refund you once the payment has been processed.

14/ Do I need to create a Paypal account in order to pay?
No, the payer DOES NOT need to have a Paypal account in order to pay. Anyone with a debit/credit card can pay.

15/ Why sometimes I am asked to create a Paypal account in order to pay?
Because Paypal has an algorithm that incites users to open a Paypal account whenever it deems fit.

Nonetheless, you DO NOT need a Paypal account in order to pay. Anyone with a debit/credit card can pay.
